Maher, a freshman forward, opened her collegiate career with two goals and two assists as the Beavers opened the season with wins over Bethany Lutheran (2-0) and Grace, Neb. (4-0). She scored one goal against Bethany Lutheran, then added a goal and two assists against Grace as BVU posted back-to-back wins for the first time since 2012.
