Wolfe, a senior, fired back-to-back 2-under-par 70s in windy conditions during the first two rounds of the Iowa Conference Championships at Finkbine Golf Course. He eagled the par-5 sixth hole and started with three straight birdies on the back nine en route to his first-round 70, then posted three birdies on the back nine - including a chip-in from the fringe on the 18th hole - in round two. He leads the medalist race by five strokes after 36 holes. The Spartans lead the team race as well, seven strokes clear of defending champion Central with 36 holes to play this weekend at Dubuque Golf & Country Club. (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week)
