Van Vleet, a sophomore, earned wins in both halves of an April 12 doubleheader against Dubuque. She won the first game in relief, pitching two innings of hitless ball and striking out one in a 4-3 victory. Van Vleet started game two, scattering four runs on nine hits and three walks while striking out three in a 6-4 win. She started the week by throwing a complete game with four strikeouts in a 2-1, 10-inning loss at Coe. Van Vleet also had three hits in the second game of the Dubuque doubleheader.
