Sobotta, a senior, finished in a tie for second place at the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Invitational with a 145 total. He fired rounds of 74 and 71, finishing one stroke back of medalist Tony Albano of host and top-ranked Illinois Wesleyan. The Spartans finished third in the team competition behind Illinois Wesleyan and Nebraska Wesleyan. Additionally, Sobotta fired a 79 in Sunday's first round of the Loras Spring Invitational. The tournament concluded Monday.
