Elusme, a senior, was named the co-Most Valuable Field Performer at the Iowa Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships after he picked up a field-events triple with wins in the long jump, triple jump and high jump. He won the high jump after clearing a championship-record height of 2.12 meters (6-11 1/2), bettering the 2.11 meters he had cleared at each of the past two championships. He also won the long jump (7.21m; 23-8) and triple jump (13.83m; 45-4 1/2), each by over a foot. Elusme also finished second in the 55-meter dash with a 6.62-second clocking. Heading into this weekend's last-chance meets, Elusme ranks second nationally in the high jump and fifth in the long jump.
