Kaerwer, a senior guard, posted an 11-point, 10-assist double-double in Central's 86-84 IIAC Tournament semifinal win over Buena Vista, then scored 19 points in a 74-70 Dutch win over Luther in the IIAC Tournament championship game. He was a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw line over the two-game stretch, including two with five seconds left against the Norse to seal the win.
