Amburgy, a sophomore, helped Simpson to three first-place efforts as the Storm dropped a pair of duals over the weekend. In a 132-77 loss to Iowa Lakes on Jan. 24, she swam on Simpson’s winning 200 medley relay (2:03.3) and took second in the 100 freestyle (56.59) and 200 freestyle (2:06.3). The following day, Amburgy won the 100 butterfly (1:05.5) and again swam on Simpson’s winning 200 medley relay (2:04.0) in a 125-87 loss to Coe. She added a runner-up finish in the 50 freestyle (26.5).
