Brown, a junior quarterback, threw for 377 yards and three touchdowns and scored the game-winning touchdown on a 4-yard run as time expired in Buena Vista’s 34-32 win over conference co-leader Simpson. His passing total was the highest for a BVU quarterback in a single game since Eric Wiebers threw for 431 yards in a 28-20 win at Dubuque on Nov. 9, 2002. Brown’s touchdown passes were of 44, 26 and 78 yards. He completed 4 of 6 attempts, including ones of 21 and 33 yards, on the final drive. The rushing touchdown gave Buena Vista its first win over Simpson in Indianola since 1987. (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week)
