Nelson, a senior quarterback, accounted for all six of Simpson’s touchdowns in a 41-38 double-overtime win over Coe. He finished 25 of 36 for 332 yards and three touchdowns through the air and picked up 67 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. He became Simpson’s career leader with 67 touchdown passes.
