Newman, a senior, defeated Luther's James Ayer 6-0, 6-0 at number four singles to help lead the Kohawks to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance with 5-0 win over the Norse in the final of the IIAC NCAA AQ Tournament. It was his 11th straight singles victory. Newman also paired with Noah Sprinkel for wins over Wartburg and Luther at number one doubles. The pair are now 26-5 and have won eight of their last 10.
