Powers, a junior third baseman, led Wartburg in hitting last week with a .533 average and an .800 slugging percentage. He had eight hits in 15 at-bats with four doubles, five RBI, five runs scored and three walks drawn as the Knights swept Luther April 30 to claim the outright Iowa Conference title. Twice during the week Powers tied a career-high with two doubles in a game.
