Hemann, a sophomore, won the shot put at the Wisconsin-Platteville Invitational with a throw of 13.87 meters (45-6 1/4), a mark that currently ranks seventh in Division III. She also took 15th in the hammer throw with an effort of 38.94 meters (127-9).
