Whiting, a senior guard, averaged 33 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals over three games as she led the Spartans to their first Iowa Conference Tournament championship game. She scored an IIAC Tournament-record 41 points on 16-of-33 shooting in an 80-74 overtime first-round win over Luther, then posted 21 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 73-65 semifinal win over Wartburg. In the championship game loss to Simpson, she shot 15-of-25 from the field for a game-high 37 points. Whiting totaled 99 points in the tournament and also set new UD marks for points in a single season (667) and career (1,737).
