Hemann, a sophomore, won the shot put and placed second in the weight throw at the Wartburg Invitational. Her effort of 17.01 meters (55-9 3/4) in the weight throw ranks ninth in NCAA Division III. She won the shot put with a toss of 14.40 meters (47-3), six inches shy of her season's best, but still good enough that it would rank third on the current NCAA Division III performance list.
