Brown, a sophomore quarterback, was 16-of-26 for 318 yards and three touchdowns through the air in Buena Vista's 30-25 victory over Central on Oct. 13. One touchdown was an 86-yarder to Jalen Henningsen on a 3d-and-13 play at the end of the first quarter. He set single-game career-highs in both passing yards and touchdown passes. The 318 yards are the most in a game for a BVU quarterback since 2009. Brown helped the Beavers to just their second victory over Central since 1979 and the first in Storm Lake since 1959.
