Strajack, a freshman designated player, hit a modest .250 with four hits in 16 at-bats during the Iowa Conference tournament, but she delivered the walk-off single in a 2-1, 8-inning Dutch win in the title game to give the program its first IIAC tourney crown since the event was restored for the 2006 season. She finished the game 3-for-5 with an RBI. In Central’s opening game, she went 1-for-2 and reached on a walk. She also reached on a walked and scored in both the winner’s bracket final won by Coe, 3-2, on Friday and the first championship game against the Kohawks, won by Central, 7-5, on a walk-off grand slam in the seventh inning.
