Klein, a junior, won three games in the circle for Loras last week to lead the Duhawks into this weekend’s Iowa Conference tournament. She posted an 0.82 earned-run average, scattering three runs (two earned) and 13 hits while walking three and striking out 16 in 17 innings of work. Klein struck out seven batters and had five assists defensively in a 2-1, complete-game win over Dubuque April 24. In a 3-2 upset win over No. 6 Central on April 28, she threw a complete game, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits with five strikeouts. During the week, she lowered her ERA by 0.55. Klein also hit safely in all six Loras games during the week with two multiple-hit games and six runs scored. She accounted for two of Loras’ runs in the victory over the Dutch.
