Morrison, a senior, earned Most Valuable Performer honors at the Iowa Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships for the third consecutive year. She broke her own Iowa Conference championship records in the long jump and triple jump. She broad-jumped 6.14 meters (20-1 3/4), breaking the mark of 5.97 meters (19-7) she set two years ago. In the triple jump, she cleared 12.16 meters (39-10 3/4), nearly two feet better than the 11.61 meters (38-1 3/4) she cleared in 2010. Morrison also finished second in the 200 (25.24), fourth in the 60 (7.81) and led off Wartburg’s winning 4x200 relay (1:41.61). It was Morrison’s third consecutive sweep of the broad jumps at the conference meet. She is the third Wartburg woman to receive the award after Missy Buttry (2003, 2005) and Hannah Baker (2008), and the first to earn MVP honors three times indoors.
