Whiting, a junior guard, averaged 18.3 points and 3.3 rebounds while leading Dubuque to a 3-0 mark last week. She scored 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting in a 75-61 win over Luther on Jan. 16, then posted 17 points each in back-to-back victories over Buena Vista (64-54) on Jan. 18 and Central (60-45) on Jan. 21. During the week, she shot 50.0 percent (16-of-32) from the field and 85.7 percent (18-of-21) from the free throw line. The Spartans enter the week on a five-game winning streak.
