Mataloni, a junior guard, averaged 21.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists to lead the Kohawks to a trio of victories. He scored 17 points in a 86-65 win over Aurora on Dec. 19, then added 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in an 88-87 win over Rockford on Dec. 22. He closed the break by scoring 27 points on 6-of-9 shooting from 3-point range and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line in a 80-69 win over NAIA No. 16 Mount Mercy on Dec. 30. During the 3-game stretch, Mataloni was 18-of-30 from the field, including 11-of-21 from behind the 3-point line. He was also 16-of-18 at the charity stripe.
