Bridenbaugh, a freshman, set the Loras record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 52.31 seconds in the Duhawks’ 193-24 win over Coe. It was his first collegiate competition. Bridenbaugh also swam a 23.39-second split on Loras’ winning 200 medley relay and was the first to touch the wall in the 100 backstroke (55.99) but his time in the latter event was exhibitioned.
