Arend, a freshman midfielder, tallied game-winners in 2-1 Luther victories against Wisconsin-Platteville on September 27 and Carleton on October 2. The Carleton victory came in overtime. Arend was also credited with a shot in a 3-0 loss to Wartburg on September 30.
