Spaulding, a senior running back, carried the ball 28 times for 192 yards and three touchdowns in Dubuque's 42-21 win over Simpson. All 28 of Spaulding's rushing attempts netted positive yardage and resulted in an average of 6.9 yards per rush. At 5-0, the Spartans are off to their best start since going 9-0 during the 1979 regular season.
