Soper, a senior, captured medalist honors at the 2010 Iowa Conference Men’s Golf Championship with a 74-74-75-76—298 total. He edged Luther’s Ross Jacobucci and Central’s Andrew Townsend by three strokes to become the first BVU medalist since Bill Naughton in 1985 and the first Beaver IIAC Men’s Golfer of the Year since Naughton won back-to-back honors in 1985 and 1986.
