Donnenwerth, a senior quarterback/punter, threw for 516 yards and six touchdowns on 24-of-41 passing in Simpson’s 54-7 victory over Upper Iowa University. His six touchdowns are a new Simpson single-game record eclipsing the old mark of five set on multiple occasions. His 516 passing yards are the second most in school history, four yards shy of the school record set in 1926. Entering the NCAA Playoffs, Donnenwerth has thrown for a school record 3,189 yards and 30 touchdowns this season.
