Miller, a junior, was named Most Valuable Men's Field Performer at the 2011 Iowa Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Miller, who holds Division III’s top decathlon point total this season, won four events and placed third in another to account for 48 of Central’s points. He won the pole vault (14-7.25; 4.45 meters), long jump (23-8.25; 7.22m, NCAA provisional), and triple jump (46-2.75; 14.09m) and placed third in the high jump (6-6; 1.98 meters). On the track, Miller won the 110 high hurdles (14.69 seconds; NCAA provisional) and ran in the 100-meter dash, but failed to qualify for the final in the latter event by four-hundredths of a second. This is Miller’s second outdoor MVP award (2010) and his fourth overall (indoor track & field, 2010 & 2011). It was also Miller’s second consecutive title in both the long jump and pole vault.
