Messmore, a junior, fired an even-par 72 en route to a third-place individual finish at the Dutch Desert Shootout. He finished two shots back of medalists Mesa Community College's Eddie DeLashmutt and Wisconsin-Parkside's Andrew Troyanek. The Dutch fired a team total of 300 to finish one shot back of Mesa Community College in the team race.
