Elusme, a freshman, posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks in both high jump and long jump with runner-up finishes at the Wartburg Invitational. in the high jump, he was one of two jumpers to clear the winning height of 6 feet, 9.75 inches, joining defending Division III outdoor national champion Tyler Hannam of Monmouth (Ill.). Elusme took second because Hannam had fewer misses. Elusme also took second in the long jump with a leap of 22-11.75.
