Schutjer, a junior center, averaged 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds as Simpson clinched a share of its fourth consecutive Iowa Conference title with wins over Buena Vista and Simpson. She scored 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting, pulled down eight rebounds, and blocked four shots in a 92-75 win over the Beavers Feb. 16. Schutjer closed the regular season with 12 points on 5-of-10, nine rebounds, and three steals in an 80-64 victory over the Rams. Simpson takes the No. 2 seed into this week's Iowa Conferene basketball tournament.
