Chenoweth, a junior, finished third in a field of 287 runners at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Open. He covered the 8,000-meter course in 26:18.03, 24.02 seconds behind the meet champion. Competing in a multi-divisional field, Chenoweth’s time was tops among other league schools in the meet. He also guided Wartburg to a runner-up team finish, just 11 points behind Minnesota-Duluth, the eighth-rated team in last week’s USTFCCCA Division II North Central Region Poll.
