Hysell, a junior pitcher, appeared in four games with two starts. She posted a 2-0 record with two saves and surrendered just one earned run in 14 innings (0.50 ERA). She struck out 17 batters and allowed just five hits. During the week, Hysell won both of her starts including a no-hitter over second ranked St. Mary’s in which she struck out eight batters. She surrendered her lone run on five hits in a victory over Illinois Wesleyan. Prior to her performance against Illinois Wesleyan, she pitched 11 2/3 innings of no-hit softball. She earned saves against Webster and Gustavus Adolphus. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
