Pettengill, a senior, posted two first-place, B-Cut qualifying times at the Wis.-River Falls Invitational. His time in the 100 breaststroke was 57.49, ahead of the established B-Cut mark of 58.52. Pettengill’s 200 breaststroke clocking was 2:06.39, also under the established B-Cut mark of 2:08.12.
