Straate, a junior forward, was named to the Clarke Holiday Tournament All-Tournament Team after averaging 17.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals, in three games, leading the Norse to a third-place finish. She shot 68.0 percent from the floor (17-of-25) and 85.7 percent from the free throw line (18-of-21) in victories over Edgewood (78-70, 2ot) and Clarke (73-39) and a loss to Concordia-Nebraska (69-55). In the Tournament opener against Edgewood, Straate scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds, going 6-for-6 from the field and 8-of-8 from the line. She had 15 points (5-of-9 shooting), four rebounds and four steals in a losing effort against Concordia. In the third-place game against host Clarke, she scored 17 points (6-of-10 shooting), grabbed nine rebounds and had four assists. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
