Kapler, a senior center, scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 34 minutes against Whittier. She connected on 11-of-13 field goals (84.6 percent) and all four free throws in Buena Vista’s 78-59 victory in the opening round of the Tiger Poet Classic at Occidental College.
