Whiton, a freshman forward, averaged 19.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals in two games off the bench during the week. She shot 56.0 percent from the floor (14-of-25) and 91.7 percent (11-of-12) from the free throw line in victories over Grand View (65-62) and William Penn (68-39). In 23 minutes against Grand View, she scored 21 points (8-of-14 shooting), grabbed eight rebounds (3-5), and had five steals and a block. In 17 minutes against William Penn, she scored 18 points (6-of-11 shooting), grabbed four rebounds (3-1), and had three steals, two assists and two blocks. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
