Whitsell, a senior guard, averaged 18.5 points per game on 12-of-23 shooting from the floor (52.2 percent) and 6-of-6 shooting from the line in two games during the week. In Simpson’s 76-62 win over Buena Vista University, she scored 20 points (7-of-12 from the floor including 4-of-6 from behind the arc), she grabbed three rebounds and had one assist. The following night she scored 17 points, grabbed two rebounds and had three assists as the Storm defeated Wartburg, 74-62. Simpson is 8-2 overall, 3-0 in the IIAC and tied for first place with Loras College. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
