Meggers, a junior forward, averaged 25 points and 13 rebounds per game in two contests at the Desert Classic in Las Vegas, Nev. She connected on 19-of-36 field goals (.528) including 3-of-7 three pointers (.429) and also shot 9-of-19 (.474) from the free throw line. In a 78-54 victory over Widener, she scored 32 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (3-12) in 28 minutes. She shot 12-of-19 from the field and 6-of-11 from the line. She also had one assist and one steal. In an 89-65 victory over Marion, Meggers scored 18 points, grabbed 11 rebounds (3-8), had two assists, three steals and a blocked shot to help extend Buena Vista’s winning streak to five straight.
