Mason, a sophomore guard, was named Most Valuable Player of the Nebraska Wesleyan Snyder Classic after averaging 17.0 points, 2.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game, and shot 77.8 percent (14-of-18) from the floor in victories over Peru State and Nebraska Wesleyan. In a 97-53 win over Peru State, he scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting (71.4 percent), had four assists and a rebound. He scored 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting (77.8 percent) and had three rebounds and an assist in an 81-58 win over the Classic’s host. (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week)
