Soppe, a junior center, was named to the Wisconsin-Platteville All-Tournament Team after averaging 18.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while shooting 59.3 percent from the floor (16-for-27) in two contests. In a 73-43 loss to host Platteville, he scored nine points on 4-for-9 shooting, had six rebounds (1-5), two steals and an assist. Soppe followed that performance with a career-high 27 points (12-for-18, .667) in a 96-84 victory over Washington (Mo.). He also registered 13 rebounds (6-7), two assists, a steal and a blocked shot.
