Bissen, a sophomore guard, led #3-seed Buena Vista to its fifth straight Iowa Conference Tournament title, becoming the lowest seed to ever win the IIAC basketball Tournament. He averaged 14.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 1.3 assists in three Tournament games. He shot 63.6 percent (14-of-22) from the floor, including 60.0 percent (3-of-5) from behind the 3-point arc, and 76.5 percent (13-of-17) from the free throw line in victories over Luther (73-71), Wartburg (64-62) and Coe (69-66). He scored a career-high 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting), had three rebounds, two assists and two steals in the opening round win over Luther. In the semifinals against Conference co-Champion Wartburg, he scored 17 points (on 4-of-6 shooting), had four rebounds and three steals. He scored seven points (on 2-of-6 shooting), had eight rebounds, three steals and two assists in the Championship game against top-seeded Coe.
