Schmidt, a junior center, averaged 20.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.0 steals per game in three contests during the week. He shot 61.5 percent from the floor (24-of-39) and 85.7 percent from the free throw line (12-of-14). Scored 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting, had four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal as the Knights beat Buena Vista for the first time since 2002-03. Against Central, scored 20 points on 10-of-14 shooting, grabbed three rebounds and had two steals. Scored a career-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting against Coe.
