Schoonover, a senior, was named Conference Most Valuable Performer for her performance at the IIAC Championship Meet. She turned in four first place finishes in her four events including the 200-meter dash (25.47) and the 400-meter dash (55.74). Schoonover was also a member of the winning 4x100 relay team (47.73) and the 4x400 relay team (3:58.16).
