Nichols, a senior forward, was named MVP of the Wis.-Eau Claire Thanksgiving Showcase and helped the Spartans to three victories during the week. She has been UD’s leading scorer in all six contests this season, averaging 19.5 points per game. In the championship game against Northwestern (Minn.), the Spartans set a school-record by sinking 14 3-point goals. Nichols was 4-of-7 in that game and 9-of-23 for the entire week.
