Pettengill, a junior, won the 100 breaststroke (57.95 / 57.77 in prelims) and 200 breaststroke (2:07.20 / 2:05.50 in prelims) at the Liberal Arts Championships, registering NCAA Championship B cut marks in both events and setting a meet record in the prelims of the 200. He also swam on the winning 200 medley (1:35.16) and 400 medley (3:27.67 – NCAA B cut) and took third in the 200 IM (2:00.57). (Male Athlete of the Week)
