Whitney, a sophomore, won both the long jump (16-0 ½) and the triple jump (34-3) and ran a leg on the winning 4x200-meter relay at the Dennis Young Classic Feb. 9 in Storm Lake. Whitney’s mark in the triple jump was the seventh-best in school history, as was the Storm’s effort in the 4x200.
