Ulferts, a sophomore, provisionally qualified for the 2008 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships with a second-place effort in the weight throw at Saturday’s UW-Whitewater Invitational. Ulferts heaved her implement 15.55m (51-0 ¼) and also took 15th in the shot put (10.65m/34-11 ¼). It was her first competition of the year.
